When I lived in Ibiza, I loved getting out in nature and enjoying the island away from the towns, tourists and cars. So now, whenever I visit the island, I make sure to plan at least one hike to get re-acquainted with the beautiful landscapes of Ibiza.
There are so many hiking routes on the island, ready to take you to places that you never knew existed! Today, I wanted to share with you 3 hikes that you need to try in 2024.
Make sure to tag me in your posts and stories if you try any of these out! (@albaandrock on Instagram)
This is only part one - make sure to check out part 2 for more Ibiza hikes you should try.
Sa Talaia
This is a must-do for everyone. Getting to the highest point of Ibiza at 475m and enjoying the 360º views is such an incredible experience. I recommend starting from Sant Josep and heading up to the summit, where you’ll have views of Formentera, Ibiza Town and San Antonio.
Alba + Rock top tip: head up just before sunset to get the most awe-inspiring view.
The route shown takes around an hour and a half and is very easy to navigate.
Cala Sant Vicent
The loop from the beach in the North of the island is beautifully scenic, firstly taking you to the secluded Cala Aguas Dulces before heading through the valley and the stunning Ibiza countryside.
Towards the end of the 9km route, you’ll pass the pre-historic Cave of Tanit before coming back down into Cala Sant Vicent. I always end this hike with a stop at The Boathouse for lunch.
Cala d’en Serra
The North of Ibiza is so beautiful that I couldn’t help but add another route in the area. Starting in the little town of Portinatx, you’ll work your way through the countryside to Cala d’en Serra, which has incredibly clear waters - perfect for snorkelling and swimming.
Then, there’s a relatively easy route following the coastline around to the Faro del Moscarter, the highest lighthouse in the Balearic Islands before heading back into Portinatx. You might want to stop at Los Enamorados for a bite to eat - that’s where you’ll find me!
So, the question is, which hike are you going to try first?
