As the hot summer gives way to the crisp, enchanting days of winter, Ibiza transforms itself into an off-season haven.
It’s a time of year my family and I love spending on the island; the feeling of community deepens and as December draws closer, the towns and villages spring to live, decorating for Christmas, New Year and Kings Day.
Everyone in the town gets involved; from shop-window decoration competitions to special menus in restaurants and the warmth of a mulled wine in the bars - the festive period in Ibiza is such a lovely time to be here.
Each area of Ibiza has its own festive calendar, filled with events that start at the end of November and run all the way through to mid-January. Here’s what I’ve been able to find so far.
Ibiza
There is so much to do at Christmas in Ibiza town. From the incredible Christmas fun fair to the Christmas market and even free ice skating, December is jam-packed with activities for all the family.

Santa Eulalia
There are lots of amazing festive activities for the whole family to take part in throughout the season in Santa Eulalia. From Fun & Trucks (food trucks, workshops and music) on December 10th to Father Christmas himself visiting on December 24th, there’s something for everyone.

San Antonio
A lot of people claim that San Antonio is a ghost town during winter, but the festivities there prove that it is the complete opposite!
This year, the celebrations are running right through January, with live concerts, magic shows, fairground rides for the little ones and food stalls and bars for the big ones!
